At least six firms, including the Canadian institutional investor, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) and Singapore-based Cube Highways, have submitted bids to take on the long-term lease of a 159.5 km highway stretch offered by NHAI against an upfront payment through the toll-operate-transfer (TOT) route. Among domestic firms that have submitted technical as well as financial bids are IRB Infrastructure Limited, Adani Enterprises Limited, Prakash Asphalting & Toll Highways (PATH) Limited, and the Nagpur-based D.P. Jain & Company Infrastructures Private Limited. Under the TOT Bundle V, NHAI is offering a 20-year lease period for two bundles with a total length of 159.5 km. The last date of bid submission for both bundles was January 18, 2021.
