Agence Française de Développement has approved a loan of Rs 4.1 billion for the implementation of the 24×7 Manimajra water supply project. The European Union has also sanctioned a grant of Rs 960 million for the project to the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation. The project is being implemented at Manimajra in Chandigarh in two phases on a pilot basis.
