The board of trustees of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) has cleared the proposal to privatise the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Container Terminal. The proposal will now be submitted to the MoPSW for ratification since the privatisation of the terminal will be undertaken through the PPP route at an estimated cost of over Rs 8 billion.
