NHPC has signed a definitive agreement for the implementation of the approved resolution plan for the takeover of Jalpower Corporation Limited (JPCL), which implemented the 120 MW Rangit Stage IV HEP in Sikkim. The NCLT, Hyderabad bench, has approved NHPC’s resolution plan for taking over JPCL as a going concern. NHPC will make an upfront payment of Rs 1.65 billion for JPCL’s resolution plan.
