Haryana government approves transfer of land for Delhi-Alwar RRTS Phase I

The Haryana government has approved the transfer of 31 hectares of land at Dharuhera to the National Capital Region Transport Corporation for the construction of a depot for the Delhi-Gurugram-Rewari-Alwar Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Project, Phase I, on November 18, 2020. The project involves the development of a 106 km RRTS connecting the Delhi-Rewari-SNB (Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror) corridor in Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan at an investment of Rs 249.75 billion. It will originate from Sarai Kale Khan Terminus in Delhi and will pass through dense regions of Delhi, Gurugram, Rewari and SNB, and will have a total of 16 stations (11 elevated and five underground). The project will be developed in three stages and is expected to be completed in five years.
