The MoP has issued an amendment related to the equity lock-in period in the standard bidding document for selection of a transmission service provider through the TBCB process to establish interstate transmission system projects. Under the amendment, the lock-in period has been reduced from two years to one year in the request for proposal (RfP) and transmission service agreement. In a separate development, the MoP is setting up three manufacturing hubs across the country to produce essential power and transmission gear, which is presently imported from different international locations.
