IR’s freight loading inches closer to 2019-20 level in October

In a notable development, freight loading for IR till October 2020 is close to the loading for the corresponding period of the previous year. Freight loading between April and October this year was 641.94 mt. This is over 94 per cent of the loading for the same period last year (680.78 mt). Vigilant monitoring and innovative management along with new business development ideas such as Kisan trains has led to this success. However, the revenue earned by the national transporter is 13.29 per cent less than that collected for the corresponding period of 2019-20.
