IR to utilise AI and data analytics

In a notable development, IR has tied up with the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, to analyse the data generated by the national transporter. Accordingly, IR will utilise artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics to improve its operational efficiency. Further, a centre for excellence will also be set up in the next three months and a chief technology officer (CTO) will be appointed in zonal headquarters. The CTO will keep track of emerging technologies in analytics and AI and use them in the rail system.
