Hazira-Gogha ro-pax service flagged off

In a notable development, the roll-on roll-off passenger (ro-pax) service between Hazira, near Surat, and Gogha, Bhavnagar district, was inaugurated on November 7, 2020. The three-deck ro-pax ferry vessel, Voyage Symphony, has a load capacity of 30 trucks, 100 passenger cars and 500 passengers, besides 34 crew and hospitality staff. The 100 metre long and 40 metre wide ro-pax terminal has been constructed at a cost of Rs 250 million. The ferry service will reduce the distance between Bhavnagar and Surat from 375 km (by road) to just 90 km (by sea).
