Chandigarh issues tender for complete privatisation of discom

The Electricity Department of the Chandigarh union territory (UT) has issued a tender inviting bids for privatisation. As per the RfP, bids from interested entities meeting the qualification requirements have been invited for the selection of a bidder for the purchase of 100 per cent shares in discoms responsible for distribution and retail supply of electricity and having a distribution licence in Chandigarh. Interested bidders will have to submit a Rs 1 million bank guarantee as the bid security amount. The last date for purchase of the RfP is December 23, 2020 and for bid submission is December 30, 2020.
