The cabinet has approved the signing of an MoU between India and Japan in the field of information and communication technology (ICT). The MoU will focus on cooperation in the fields of 5G, telecom security, submarine cable, certification of communication equipment, utilisation of latest wireless technologies, ICT capacity building, public protection and disaster relief, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, spectrum chain, spectrum management and cooperation on multilateral platforms. Meanwhile, the cabinet has also approved the signing of an MoU between India’s Ministry of Communications and the UK’s Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sports for cooperation in telecommunications and ICT.
