A total of 322 projects, spanning a length of 12,413 km, have been awarded and 2,921 km of roads have been constructed under the Bharatmala Pariyojana till August 2020. The MoRTH has undertaken a detailed review of the national highway network and has given its approval for the overall investment for Phase I of the Bharatmala Pariyojana for development of about 34,800 km (including 10,000 km residual National Highways Development Project stretches).
