IR allows booking and cancellation of tickets upto five minutes before departure

IR has allowed booking and cancellation of tickets up to five minutes before the departure of a train. The new rule is expected to restore the pre-Covid system of preparing a second reservation chart. The first reservation chart will be prepared four hours prior to the departure of the train and the second chart will be prepared between 30 minutes and 5 minutes before departure. Until the second reservation chart is prepared, passengers can book train tickets. The tickets can also be cancelled during this time, depending on the provisions of the refund rules.
