The consortium of Hitachi Zosen India Private Limited and ISGEC Heavy Engineering Limited received a letter of award from Karnataka Power Corporation Limited for implementation of the 11.5 MW Bidadi waste-to-energy (WtE) project on October 8, 2020. Besides, the Karnataka government has also granted approval for project implementation. Construction work is likely to commence by November 2020. The project involves the development of a 11.5 MW WtE plant with a capacity of processing 600 tonnes of waste per day at Bidadi in Ramanagara district near Bengaluru in Karnataka. The project has a two-year operations and maintenance (O&M) period.
