Government launches Ghar tak Fibre project to extend optic fibre connectivity in villages

The government has launched the Ghar Tak Fibre project to extend optic fibre connectivity to villages across the country under the BharatNet initiative. The project, which has initially been launched in Bihar, will be executed by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, and common service centres.
