Government approves construction of Haryana orbital rail corridor project

The government has approved the construction of the Haryana orbital rail corridor project from Palwal to Sonepat to decongest the railway network in the National Capital Region and connect unserved areas of the state. The project is expected to be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 56.17 billion within a period of five years. It will be implemented by Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited, a joint venture of the Ministry of Railways and the Haryana government.
