In a notable development, Cochin Shipyard Limited has delivered two roll-on roll-off (ro-ro) vessels to the Inland Waterways Authority of India. The 56 metre long ro-ro vessels have been built with in-house design for day and night operation all round the year. The vessels can carry 15 TEUs of container trailers and 30 passengers. They also comply with the Prevention and Control of Pollution and Protection of Inland Water Rules.
