The Yadadri Supercritical Thermal Power Plant is a 4 GW coal-fired power plant, which is among the largest under-construction thermal projects in the country. It is being set up in Nalgonda district of Telangana. State gencoTelangana State Power Generation Corporation is developing the project with five units of 800 MW each at an estimated investment of Rs 300 billion. So far, an investment of Rs 72 billion has been incurred on the project. The first two units of the project are expected to be commissioned in October 2020, the third and fourth units in June 2021, and the last one in October 2021.
