Private entities including SpiceJet and Reliance-backed drone start-up Asteria Aerospace are among 13 consortiums that have received approvals from the government to test-fly drones beyond visual line of sight. SpiceXpress, the air cargo division of SpiceJet, plans to use drones for the delivery of essential supplies to remote areas after successful trials.
