SECI’s solar tender receives record low bid of Rs 2.36 per unit

The Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) tender for 2 GW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar projects has received a record low bid of Rs 2.36 per unit. The lowest tariff was quoted by Spain-based Solarpack Corporacion Tecnologica SA while Avikaran Surya India Private Limited (part of Italy’s Enel Green Power), Amp Energy Green Private Limited, New York-based Eden Renewables, and ib vogt Singapore Private Limited quoted the second lowest tariff of Rs 2.37 per unit. This is the first such tender with the majority capacity being bid and won by a foreign player.
