Indian Railways (IR) has suspended the operations of all regular passenger trains scheduled to run between July 1, 2020 and August 12, 2020 amid rising COVID-19 cases. Passengers will be given a full refund for the cancelled trains. The special trains running since May 12, 2020 and the 100 pairs of mail and express trains plying since June 1, 2020 will, however, continue to operate. Besides, a limited number of special suburban trains in Mumbai will also continue to operate for transport workers engaged in essential activities. All necessary precautions are being taken by the railways to ensure safe travel in special trains.
