IOCL develops PADC to facilitate development of polymer industry

IOCL has set up a product application and development centre (PADC) at Paradip at a capex of Rs 430 million in order to facilitate and support the development of the polymer industry in Odisha as well as the eastern part of the country. In line with the Atmanirbhar Bharat scheme of the central government, the PADC will work on the development of newer grades and curtail polymer imports through substitution. The PADC will work in collaboration with research institutes such as the Institute of Chemical Technology, Bhubaneswar, the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology, Chennai, and the National Chemical Laboratory, Pune.
