Electrification work on Bhatni-Aunrihar rail line completed

Electrification work for the Bhatni-Aunrihar line doubling-cum-electrification project was completed on June 19, 2020. The project involved doubling and electrification of the 125.3 km Bhatni-Aunrihar railway line, excluding the Indara-Mau section, in Uttar Pradesh, at an estimated cost of Rs 13 billion. The line traverses the districts of Deoria, Ballia, Mau and Ghazipur. The project was approved in Railway Budget 2016-17.
