Construction work on the Shahganj-Bhatni-Phephna-Indara and Mau-Shahganj railway lines doubling project is likely to be completed by March 2023. The project involves the construction of a 150 km electrified double line on the Phephana-Indara and Mau-Shahganj (excluding Indara-Mau) rail sections in Uttar Pradesh at an investment of Rs 10.3 billion.
