MoR grants approval for Pune-Nashik semi-high speed rail corridor

The MoR granted approval for the Pune-Nashik semi-high speed rail line project on June 4, 2020. The project involves laying of a 235.15 km long railway line between Pune and Nashik in Maharashtra at an investment of Rs 160.39 billion. It was sanctioned in Railway Budget 2013-14 and is expected to be completed in three and a half years after commencement of work. The project will be implemented by Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited.
