DoT asked to withdraw demands against PSUs

The Supreme Court has come down strongly on the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for serving demand notices worth over Rs 4 trillion to public sector undertakings (PSUs). The apex court has asked DoT to withdraw the demands issued to PSUs such as Powergrid, GAIL and Oil India Limited. DoT has now been directed to give clarifications regarding the raising of such demands.
