Indian Hume Pipe Company-led consortium receives work order for two water supply projects in Rajasthan

The Indian Hume Pipe Company Limited-led consortium received work orders from the Public Health Engineering Department, Rajasthan, for the implementation of two water supply projects in the state. The first contract, worth Rs 2.96 billion, has been awarded for the implementation of the Bisalpur-Prithviraj Nagar water supply project, Phase I (Stage I). The project involves the development of a water transmission system for Prithviraj Nagar and the adjoining areas and operations and maintenance for a period of 10 years. The second contract, worth Rs 1.73 billion, has been awarded for the implementation of the Bisalpur-Jaipur water supply project (Stage II). The project involves augmentation of pumping machinery at intake to increase flow from 630 mld to 820 mld, and design and construction of a 216 mld outlet capacity water treatment plant (extendable to 360 mld) and an intermediate pumping station at Renwal.
