Government suspends toll collection on national highways

The government has temporarily suspended toll collection on national highways to ease emergency services given the COVID-19 outbreak. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) had asked the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to suspend toll collections across the country during the lockdown period. Maintenance of roads and availability of emergency services at toll plazas will, however, continue.
