Government permits airlines to convert their passenger aircraft to ferry cargo to fight the pandemic

The government has permitted all airlines to convert their passenger aircraft to ferry cargo to fight the pandemic. The permission had to be first taken from the Flight Standards and Airworthiness Directorate and then the Air Transport Directorate in the DGCA. Various state governments are also coordinating with the Ministry of Civil Aviation to ensure that medical supplies required on an urgent basis are air-transported at the earliest.
