GENMA helps thermal power generation in Indonesia

The chain bucket ship unloader designed by GENMA Solutions for Indonesia’s Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) coal terminal at PangkalanSusu port, has been put into service. This follows GENMA’S successful Balikpapan coal terminal and Cigading port projects.

The GENMA chain bucket ship unloader was designed with the efficiency of 2×800 tonnes per hour using a multi-row chain control with flexible, efficient and stable unloading characteristics. It has low sensitivity to wind and waves on the water surface. When the barge bumps up and down due to the wind and waves, the material collecting part of the unloader will not be damaged by the collision with the ship cabin, thus improving the environmental adaptability of the equipment. The ship unloader adopts a semi-closed design for unloading and material transfer and works with a water-spraying dustproof device to minimise coal dust pollution.

PLN is the largest power company in Indonesia, responsible for more than 80 per cent of the country’s electricity supply. GENMA mainly provides coal unloading and delivery services for PLN’s power plants in PangkalanSusu.
