The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is gearing up to place its first set of road projects with an infrastructure investment trust (InvIT) in May 2020. Institutional investors and private funds will be offered equity in the projects. Currently, the bouquet of projects to be offered under the proposed InvIT is being finalised. Reportedly, a date-wise action plan will be put in place by the authority to make the first such offering operational. The authority will assess the performance of the private offering before considering a plan for a public offer.
