MoR lays foundation stone for Cherlapally satellite terminal under Hyderabad MMTS-II

The transport department of the Andhra Pradesh government is planning to implement the Visakhapatnam rapid autonomous connected bus transit system. The project involves the development of a 200 km long elevated bus transit corridor with halting points every 500 metres. There will be no need for land acquisition, right of way, expensive signalling systems, electrical overhead cables or rails. A dedicated software-based system will be a key component of the system which will not require a driver. The project is likely to be funded by the World Bank.
