The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) has granted environmental clearance for the upcoming Jewar greenfield international airport in Greater Noida after reviewing the response submitted by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority. With this, the only statutory clearance left to be secured before commencing works is that from the Ministry of Home Affairs. Meanwhile, land acquisition for Phase I of the project involving 1,334 hectares has been completed.
