Uttar Pradesh government sanctions Rs 16.6 billion for two expressway projects

The Uttar Pradesh government has sanctioned funds worth Rs 2 billion and Rs 14.6 billion for the Bundelkhand six-lane expressway project and the Purvanchal expressway project, respectively, in its second supplementary budget announced on December 17, 2019. Of the total funds allocated for the Purvanchal expressway, Rs 9.6 billion will be utilised by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority towards the prepayment of the loan sourced from Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited for implementation of the project.
