The project involves development of a 7 MW WtE plant to be set up on 50 acres of land in Samgauli village in Mohali district, Punjab. It will generate power from 600 tonnes per day (tpd) of waste collected from Patiala and Mohali. It is being implemented by the Mohali Municipal Corporation on a build-own- operate basis under the PPP model.
