Protocol to amend air service agreement with Switzerland approved

The central government has approved signing of the protocol to amend the air services agreement between India and Switzerland, allowing more airlines to start flight operations between the two countries. Based on the amendments, multiple airlines will be allowed to operate between the two countries, as till date, only two airlines were permitted. The protocol will provide an enabling environment for enhanced and seamless connectivity while providing commercial opportunities to the carriers of both the sides, ensuring greater safety and security.
