The Expert Appraisal Committee of the MoEFCC recommended grant of coastal regulation zone clearance for the Ennore-Kancheepuram natural gas pipeline project on November 29, 2019. IOCL has proposed laying of a 30 inch outside diameter natural gas pipeline from the Ennore LNG terminal to Kancheepuram via Ponneri and Uthukottai in the state of Tamil Nadu. The length of the pipeline will be approximately 120 km and it will be constructed at an investment of Rs 8.49 billion.
