DMRC issues LoA to HCC-VCCL JV for civil works for Corridor 5 of Delhi metro Phase-IV

DMRC has issued the letter of acceptance to the JV of Hindustan Construction Company Limited and Vensar Constructions Company Limited for a contract worth Rs 4.89 billion for civil works for Corridor 5 of the Delhi metro project, Phase IV on January 6, 2020. Bids for the same were invited in October 2019. The scope of work includes design and construction of 2.03-km long twin tunnels on the Janakpuri West to R.K. Ashram corridor of Phase IV. The twin tunnels will be constructed using shield tunnel boring machines. The contract also includes the construction of an underground station – Krishna Park Extension. The work is likely to be completed in 36 months. The project involves development of a 103.93 km metro rail network comprising six corridors at an investment of Rs 468 billion.
