Bharti Airtel submits conditional bids worth Rs 95 billion for RCOM’s assets

Bharti Airtel has submitted conditional bids worth Rs 95 billion for Reliance Communications’ (RCOM) telecom assets that include spectrum, mobile towers and optic fibre. VFSI Holdings Pte Limited and UV Asset Reconstruction Company Limited have also submitted their bids. However, the final result will be known soon after the committee of creditors (CoC) opens all the bids. After asking for the extension, Reliance Jio did not turn up even when the CoC extended the deadline to suit the former’s interest. Further, I Squared Capital, which was expected to buy RCOM’s data centre and optic fibre, has not submitted bids.

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the acquisition of a 23.5 per cent stake in Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) by Adani Properties Private Limited (APPL). APPL is set to acquire a 13.5 per cent stake in MIAL from Bid Services Division (Mauritius) Limited and another 10 per cent stake from ACSA Global Limited.
