SFC appraises three projects in Maharashtra and West Bengal

The Standing Committee on Finance has appraised the implementation of three port projects in Maharashtra and West Bengal. The three projects involve the development of Mumbai marina at Prince’s Dock on a design-build-finance-operate-transfer (DBFOT) basis (Rs 3.59 billion); selection of a public-private partnership (PPP) operator for end-to-end execution of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT)/Mumbai Port Trust barge/ship operations (Rs 1.53 billion); and mechanisation of berth no. 3 on a DBFOT basis at the Haldia Dock Complex for a concession period of 30 years (Rs 3.32 billion).
