BPCL introduces digital payment methods

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has introduced point-of-sale (PoS) machines along with its distributors to enable consumers to use their credit or debit cards for the payment of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders delivered to their homes. BPCL has been taking steps to increase cashless transactions for LPG cylinder deliveries. The oil marketing company has made at least 10 PoS machines available in each district and these are issued to select delivery persons for select distributors. The transactions are currently being monitored for execution and errors. Since it is a new system, the transactions are being closely monitored to get rid of problems. In a month’s time, all district headquarters and then in three months all tehsil headquarters will have the machines.
