NGC Energy plans to set up a LPG import and storage terminal at Krishnapatnam port

NGC Energy India Private Limited in collaboration with Petredec has plans to set up a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) import and storage terminal at Krishnapatnam port in Andhra Pradesh. The proposal for the grant of terms of reference (ToR) for the project was submitted to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) in January 2019. The joint venture (JV) of NGC Energy India and Petredec, formed in a 60:40 ratio, has proposed the implementation of a refrigerated LPG import and storage terminal, with a storage capacity of 30,000 tonnes and throughout capacity of 1.4 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) at an investment of Rs 4 billion. The work is expected to be completed by July 2021.
