Mundra LNG terminal to be commissioned by December 2019

The Mundra liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal project is expected to be commissioned by December 2019. The project involved setting up of an import, storage and regasification terminal with a capacity of 5 mtpa at the Mundra special economic zone (SEZ). The terminal (capacity expandable up to 10 mtpa) is designed to have a berth for receiving LNG tankers with sizes ranging from 75,000 cubic metres to 260,000 cubic metres, two tanks with a storage capacity of 160,000 cubic metres each, an LNG receiving jetty and an LNG regasification system. It will import LNG to be supplied to large industrial and domestic users.
