During April-October 2019-20, Indian major ports handled 405.39 mt of traffic, compared to 403.61 mt in the corresponding period of 2018-19, registering an increase of 0.44 per cent. Deendayal port (erstwhile Kandla port) handled the maximum traffic at 71.09 mt, followed by Paradip port (64.47 mt) and Visakhapatnam port (41.19 mt).
