Work on Janibili water supply project to be completed by January 2020

The construction work on the Janibili water supply project (Improvement of Water Supply to Greater Berhampur) is expected to be completed by January 2020. The project has been awarded to L&T and involves laying of a 58 km pipeline from Janibili to Berhampur drawing water from the Janibili ayacut, construction of an intake well-cum-pump house at Janibili, a 60 mld WTP at Jagadalpura, 10 underground reservoirs, 17 elevated service reservoirs, 18 pump houses and a 235 km long distribution network in uncovered areas of the city and adjoining areas. It is being implemented in Odisha at an investment of Rs 4.9 billion.
