The government has formed a committee of secretaries (CoS) under the cabinet secretary that will examine the various aspects related to the financial health of the telecom sector and accordingly give recommendations to mitigate this stress. The CoS will look into service providers’ demand regarding deferment of spectrum auction payment due for 2020-21 and 2021-22 in order to ease the cash flow situation of the industry.
