Five firms submit bids for implementation of Stage II of Bisalpur-Jaipur water supply project

A total of five firms have submitted bids for the implementation of the Bisalpur-Jaipur water supply project, Stage II. These are Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Raj Water Projects and Construction, SPML Infra Limited, The Indian Hume Pipe Company Limited, Triveni Engineering and Industries Limited and Vinayak Kripa and Company. Bids for the project were invited by the Public Health Engineering Department, Rajasthan, in July 2019. The scope of work includes the augmentation of pumping machinery at intake to increase the flow from 630 million litres per day (mld) to 820 mld; design and construction of a 216 mld outlet capacity water treatment plant extendable up to 360 mld, a clear water pump house at Surajpura, 60 million litre capacity clear water reservoir and intermediate pumping station at Renwal, electrical works at intake (Surajpura and Renwal) and other miscellaneous works. The work is expected to be completed in a period of 30 months plus a 12-month defect liability period.
