NHAI has identified projects worth Rs 300 billion to be implemented through the public-private partnership mode on a build-operate-transfer (BOT) (toll) basis. The road stretches, spanning 950 km across Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, have been identified on a pan-India basis in consultation with prospective bidders. Besides, the authority has already invited proposals for annual pre-qualification for construction of four/six-lane national highways for these stretches.
