CMRS grants safety clearance for Corridor 6 of Delhi Metro, Phase III

The Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety granted safety clearance for the 4.29 km Corridor 6 of Delhi Metro, Phase III, on September 26, 2019. The inspection for the corridor was carried out on September 25, 2019. Of the total 4.29 km length, 2.75 km is an elevated stretch while 1.54 km is underground. Phase III of the Delhi metro project involves the development of a total rail network of 139.4 km at an investment of Rs 352.42 billion. It is financed by JICA and involves the development of seven corridors – Mukundpur-Rajouri Garden-Yamuna Vihar-Shiv Vihar (Corridor 1), Janakpuri West-Munirka-Kalindi Kunj-Botanical Garden (Corridor 2), Central Secretariat-Kashmere Gate (Corridor 3), Jahangirpuri-Badli (Corridor 4), Badarpur-YMCA Chowk (Faridabad) (Corridor 5), Dwarka-Najafgarh (Corridor 6) and Mundka-Bahadurgarh (Corridor 7).
