The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has extended the security constrained economic despatch (SCED) pilot for interstate generating stations (ISGSs) pan-India up to March 31, 2020. The Power System Operation Corporation has been directed to implement the SCED pilot for thermal ISGSs that are willing to participate in the scheme for the October 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020 period. The net savings/benefits after adjusting the compensation for part-load operation of the generators will be shared among the beneficiaries and the participating generators.
